About us
We are a team of American college, high school, middle school and elementary school youth of Japanese heritage who promote cultural diplomacy between the U.S. and Japan.
Our programs include:
– free in-person and live online English lessons for Japanese children based on an innovative, original “current events” curriculum
– taped lessons posted online which are available to the public
– two-week summer/winter exchange programs in northern California for underprivileged Japanese children
– performances at senior centers: comedic skits, poetry readings, traditional Japanese music and dance
– fundraising by selling homemade traditional Japanese origami and beverages at farmer’s markets
– conferences engaging American and Japanese scholars on a discussion panel on the topic of cultural diplomacy
